Tuition & Financial Assistance

Independent school education is an investment in your children's future, perhaps the most important one you can make.

When children love learning from an early age—because they feel known and challenged, and learn from teachers who nurture their individuality—they develop confidence, critical thinking skills and compassion.

We understand that independent school requires a significant financial commitment and takes careful planning. To provide support and make Foote an affordable option for families and within our school. Foote offers a program of need-based financial assistance.

Based on my income, how much might my family pay?

The table below shows the income ranges of families receiving financial assistance and what they pay toward tuition on average. The Family contribution is defined as the total amount a family pays toward tuition, whether they have one child or multiple children enrolled at the school.

Family Income Family Contribution Range Avg. Family Contribution
$0–$50,000 $500–$2,000 Less than $1,000
$50,001–$100,000 $1,000–$21,700 $3,500
$100,001–$150,000 $2,500–$29,900 $9,600
$150,001–$200,000 $12,000–$30,400 $20,600
$200,001–$250,000 $11,600–$42,000 $25,900

The financial assistance analysis is not based solely on a family’s total income. Other factors considered include: assets; federal taxes paid; parents' student loan debt; number of children in full-day, tuition-charging schools; and number in the household.
