Community

When we were looking at Foote, I didn't expect the community piece to be so strong. There are so many ways to get involved—in the classroom, on the PTC, the Board or MOSAIC—and that really brings you into the school community.

We believe the school-home partnership is essential to student success and to building a vibrant school community where families feel welcome.

Parents and guardian enrich learning by sharing their talents, expertise, and family traditions and by volunteering for the various on- and off-campus activities. The Parent Teacher Council (PTC) invites all parents and guardians to attend meetings and help out at PTC-sponsored activities, such as the annual Book Fair, Book Swap, Family Fun Day, May Day Picnic, ice skating social and other activities that help bring the parent community together.

'Why we Chose Foote'

Parents have been integral to the success of Foote School since its founding in 1916. Today parents contribute to the school in ways big and small, among them making flower crowns for children to wear on May Day.
