Dear Families,
As a reminder, you can find additional information about our distance learning plans and other helpful resources on our COVID-19 Resource Page.
This Sunday, March 29, at 8 p.m. I will be hosting a one-hour online forum to provide information and answer questions as we prepare to launch distance learning the following day. I invite you to share your questions ahead of time by emailing me directly at cmaoz@footeschool.org. You will also be able to submit questions during the live forum. I will answer as many as I can during the forum, and will follow up with answers to any questions I'm not able to get to. The link to join this meeting will be sent in the coming days so watch your email!
Presently, our plan is to remain closed through at least April 10. We are actively monitoring the situation and will base any decision to re-open on guidance from the governor and public health officials.
We understand the anxiety many members of our community are feeling in the face of uncertainty about the pandemic. Foote's school nurses have put together helpful information about COVID-19 including general health information, guidance for what to do if someone becomes sick, and links to public health resources. Click here to access it.
The Business Office is operating remotely. They are picking up mail and processing enrollment contracts and payments. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Business Manager David Sklar at dsklar@footeschool.org.
Staying Connected I've heard great stories about Foote friends connecting for virtual playdates and dance parties, children creating plays, families baking and doing science experiments, and lots of family walks, bike rides and outdoor time. Parents have already been showing incredible creativity and a can-do spirit to maintain fun and levity in your homes. There are many resources being shared through social media channels, from virtual museum visits and read-alouds to lunchtime drawing and yoga for kids. If you have a tip, great link or creative idea for at-home engagement that you'd like to share, we'd love to hear about it. Email Director of Communications Andy Bromage (abromage@footeschool.org) and we will share out ideas with the Foote community. Staying connected is more important than ever!
