![]() From the Head of School Taking Learning Outdoors Dear Families,
Signs of spring are popping up all over campus as learning moves outdoors and flowers begin to bloom. Just this morning, our Kindergartners celebrated the end of their maple sugaring unit with an outdoor pancake breakfast, while first graders tested parachutes on the recess field to learn about the principles of air resistance, push and movement. Our learning tents are going back up and spring sports kick off on Monday. We are excited to get back outside as the weather warms up!
Even as we finalize plans for the remainder of this school year, we are making plans for what school will look like in the fall. Here's what I can tell you so far. Based on how things are going, and where we expect them to be, we are planning:
We are also working to update the Foote Community Compact for the remainder of this year, based on new guidance from the state around children participating in sports and other activities. Look for that in the coming days.
As always, thank you for your partnership and please don't hesitate to reach out with anything that is on your mind.
Best,
Aléwa Cooper Parent Reminder No School Tomorrow As a reminder, there will be no school / remote learning tomorrow, Friday, April 2 in observance of Good Friday. Enjoy the long weekend.
