After 41 years at Foote, Laura retired in 2013 with the title of Admissions Director. Her title was wildly insufficient, hiding years of teaching kindergarten, directing the summer program, and creating community collaborations.
“Feed your mind with things that fascinate you and you’ll be amazed at where life can take you.”
Anna York Mulkey, Class of 1939
Our graduates blaze new trails.
We meet students where they are—and lead them to reach their full potential. Our graduates love to learn, embrace the opportunity to make mistakes, and have the skills and the vision to create their own path forward. They’re always reaching for something more—and proud to be exactly who they are.
The Foote School's alumni represent one of the most connected, engaged and committed groups of any independent school in the country. Our alumni play an important role in the life of our school. Each year, alumni reconnect at regional gatherings, contribute class notes, share their experiences with current students, volunteer on behalf of the Alumni Council and the school, contribute to The Foote Fund, and attend Reunion.
Each May, Foote alumni from across the country converge on campus for Reunion Day, sharing memories and rekindling friendships with former classmates and teachers.
