Transportation & After School

Transportation

Foote students come from 30 towns and travel by car, bike, foot and bus. The school operates daily bus service to and from area towns along the shoreline and throughout New Haven, Fairfield and Middlesex counties. Fees vary based on location. Families must enroll for the full year. Bus transportation for New Haven residents is provided free of charge by the city's Board of Education.

After School Program

Children in grades K–5 may enroll in Foote’s After School Program on Mondays through Fridays from dismissal until 5:30 p.m. for an additional fee of $27 per day. Children enjoy a fun, relaxed atmosphere with a choice of indoor and outdoor options for free play or creative activities, and have use of the gymnasium, library, art studios and technology lab. Thoughtful, caring supervision provides continuity with the school day. Families that receive financial assistance for tuition will receive the same percentage of assistance toward Lower School ASP.

Mini-courses — such as yoga, baking and chess — are offered in fall, winter and spring, and individual music lessons are offered throughout the year. Costs vary, but range from $100-$150.

Students in grades 6–9 may participate in after-school sports, for a fee of $50/season. Older students not participating in after-school sports may remain on campus under After School supervision for a fee of $50/season.
