D.C. Day 1: History and Harbors
8th grade DC Trip

Our intrepid travelers gathered on Loomis Place bright and early, ready for adventure. After getting on the road in record time, we made our way down south to our nation’s capital.

Our first stop was the National Museum of African American History and Culture where our students spent two hours deeply exploring and connecting with essential elements of U.S. history.

Next, we visited the National Museum of American History where students explored everything from iconic American memorabilia to the foundations of our government. We ended our evening in the National Harbor with a beautiful ferris wheel ride, and at sunset, too. Tomorrow, we prepare for a visit to Arlington Cemetery and the Holocaust museum.
