Day 8: Picasso, FC Barcelona
Spain day 8

This morning we all had a little extra sleep as we set off for the Picasso Museum at 11:00. We walked through the city to the museum and began our time there listening to Fionn give us a thorough history of the museum as well as Picasso's journey.  In the museum we saw many pieces from Picasso's early year along with some of his cubism pieces. We all chose a painting and found a place to sit and draw the painting in our journals. After the museum there was time for lunch and shopping for our guardian angel presentations to wrap up the trip.

After lunch we returned to the hotel and boarded a bus to Camp Nou, the stadium and home of FC Barcelona. Molly started off our self guided tour with a history and the stadium and information regarding plans to continue its growth. During the self-guided tour we were able to see a locker room, the stands, the field, and the museum containing many many trophies from various teams that have played there. We were then able to peruse the team store, and many of us will be bringing home FC Barcelona paraphernalia.

We then returned to the hotel and set off for dinner after a brief rest through the pedestrian walkways of Barcelona. After our last dinner here we returned to the hotel where we all presented our Guardian Angel gifts. Everyone in the group was thoughtful and caring with the gifts and spoken words they chose during this closing ceremony. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here and while we are sad to leave everyone is excited to return back home!
