This episode of "This Week at Foote" was produced, written, and edited by Foote fourth grade students.
It all began when their teachers reached out to Foote podcast host Michael Valente, wanting to create their own podcast. Together they learned about the equipment and editing software, and began to sketch out their episode idea: a trivia challenge, students versus faculty/staff. They crafted trivia questions, recorded the trivia contest, and worked with Michael to edit and polish the recording. They even created a promotional graphic!
Reflecting on the project, one fourth grader commented, “Working with my friends is exhilarating. Doing everything is harder than it looks but it is fun. I think that with all hands on deck, we are making a podcast that all listeners will fall in love with. No one will be able to put their phones down!”
