April 21, 2022 - Preparing for Spain

After months of planning students in Grade 9, along with faculty chaperones, will depart for a 10 day trip to Spain on Monday, April 25. Over the course of the trip the group will explore Granada, Cordoba, Seville, and Barcelona. In the week prior to their departure students took time during language classes to review important travel dialogue, and to create and share resources for the trip.

 

Students will be journaling about their experience during their travels. Phrases, maps, vocabulary and other resources were added to the journals to help students better navigate the trip.

 

In Modern Language class students reviewed the Spanish words with each other honing their translation and dictation.

Covers of journals were decorated reflecting each students own unique style.

 

A large Picasso-inspired mural was created as a group project in Art class.
