By Chrissy Khachane, Head of Lower School
Over the weekend our spring break adventures continued with more outdoor hiking and starting a 500-piece puzzle. We also pulled out some of our favorite math games from class and math morning. Do you have a favorite math game from school this year? If so, I encourage you to teach a grown-up or sibling that game this week.
I also loved receiving messages in response to my last post with ideas for how we can come together as a community during distance learning. A few of the ideas I received include:
- Seeing photos of campus as spring blooms
- A virtual lunch read aloud
- Virtual meet-ups after a project is done to share and see one another's work
- Friday Morning Meetings
- A snack and share time
Please keep the ideas coming and if you haven't see the video from my last post you can click here.
Another favorite spring break activity has been a daily dance party. With some help from a certain second grader here at home with me, I would like to share a special dance we came up with to go with our Lower School song "What I am." I hope you enjoy our Monday inspiration and I encourage you to think about how you and your family might have fun with our Lower School song at home too!
