Students Take Top Language Contest Awards

Eleven Foote students received awards in the The Connecticut Council of Language Teachers (CT COLT) presents its annual Poetry Recitation Contest.

Each year, the contest invites hundreds of Connecticut students to recite poetry selected from the following languages: Albanian, Ancient Greek, Arabic, ASL, Mandarin Chinese, ESOL/ML, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Kannada, Latin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Tamil.

The following Foote students were awarded for their recitations: 

First Place — Gold

Levi Lucarelli-Apatow (Latin MS2)

Ruthie Myers (Mandarin MS2)

Siena Wilhelm (Spanish MS2)

Simón Rodríguez (Spanish Heritage MS)
