Robotics Club Earns Champion Award

Aurabotz — the Middle School Robotics Club — headed to Farmington to scrimmage area robotics teams, earning a Champion Award in the event. 

Griffin Smart, Mateo Cruz, David Hawkins, Jessica Park, Eve Laskin-Tievsky, Lark Bromage, and Ben Normandin worked together to complete the challenges, earning the award that acknowledged "the best performance in the robot competition, the robot design presentation, and the innovation project presentation," according to advisor Drew Sweet.

"They did a great job on Sunday. They listened to the judges' earlier feedback and made numerous changes for this time," he said. "The best part was that judging for the presentations was open, so we could see other groups' ideas and give/receive feedback. I am especially proud of the students' growth compared to the fall competition."
