Bailey Arango
Bailey comes to our community from Washington state, a graduate of Whitman College with a B.A. in History and a minor in Religion, while serving as an R.A. He has been a guitar and music teacher since 2017 and was a tutor at Walla Walla High School.
Judith Cavanaugh
Judith comes to Foote with a wealth of experience teaching art in the New Haven area. She was instrumental in building the Art Department at Worthington Hooker School, where she taught for 27 years. She also teaches at the Shubert Summer Arts Camp each summer, and was a Visual Arts Teacher for Creative Arts Workshop. She has a bachelor’s in International Business from Albertus Magnus, and a master’s in Art Education from Southern Connecticut State University.
Jennifer Coniff
Long-time language arts and social studies teacher for lower and middle school students, Jennifer has an Ed.D. in Education from Columbia Teachers College, along with a master’s in Education from John Carroll University and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Virginia. She worked in the Madison public school system since 2001 as a grade 6 language arts and social studies teacher. She has also taught at Rye Country Day School, Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences (Santa Monica, CA) and University School (Shaker Heights, OH).
Abby Cunningham
Foote alumnae Abby ’16 has more than 10 years of experience in middle/high school, community, educational, and collegiate theater as an actor, technician, stage manager, production intern, assistant director, and director. She has also been a Game Master for Spellbound Escapes and a Production Intern at Brief Cameo Productions in Ivoryton. She has a B.A. in Theater Arts and Social Sciences from WCSU, where she also worked as a PASS mentor for underserved populations and was a board member on the university’s newly formed Fourth Wall diversity council.
Ross Holzschuh
No stranger to the Foote community, Ross now moves into the role as a fourth grade teacher. At Foote he started as a teacher intern, moving to fourth/fifth grade associate and long-term sub for music and fifth grade. He has also coached basketball and tennis, and has helped with various drama productions as part of the school-year and summer theater programs. Ross was a T.A. at the Waterside School Summer Education Program and a Childcare Assistant at Inspirica in Stamford. He has a B.A. in English Literature and a minor in Film Studies from University of Houston, and is currently working on a master’s through Middlebury Breadloaf School of English.
Lily Kelleher
Lily is a graduate of University of Vermont, with a B.A. in Political Science. She comes to Foote from Montclair Community Pre–K in New Jersey, where she worked as a T.A. Prior to that, she was a T.A. at Washington Market School in New York City, among other teacher’s assistant positions in a variety of summer camps and educational programs.
Jessica Murphy
Jessica comes to Foote from Newport Healthcare in Darien, where she served as a Lead Teacher. Prior to that she was a teacher at Cornish Elementary School in New Hampshire, and a teacher in the Norwich public school system in Connecticut. Jessica has an associate’s degree Graphic Design from Manchester Community College, a B.A. in Visual Arts and a master’s in Education, both from Eastern Connecticut State University.
Elena Page
Elena first joined the community as parent, and began work as a part-time nurse in the Health Office in March 2024. She most recently worked in acute care nursing at Yale - New Haven Hospital. Elena has a B.A. in Communication from Arizona State University and a M.S. in Nursing from Sacred Heart University.
Evan Pasquale
Most recently, Evan was a P.E. substitute at Grafflin Elementary and student teacher at Horace Greeley High School, both in Chappaqua (NY), where he also coached the JV football team. He was the Assistant Varsity Golf Coach at Carmel High School (NY). Evan has a B.S. in Education from State University of Cortland.
Melissa Stewart
Melissa has an M.A. in Elementary Education from Southern Connecticut State University, and a B.A. in English from Franklin Pierce University. Most recently, she was a substitute at A.W. Cox Elementary in Guilford, and Green Acres Elementary School in North Haven. She is a Sales Assistant at Jordie’s Toy Shoppe in Guilford, and was a Stained Glass T.A. while at Franklin Pierce.
