PARENT TEACHER COUNCIL 2007-2008

The Parent Teacher Council is a link between the school and its families. The PTC works as a support group for all facets of the school community. Through its many committees members serve as room parents, host families, library volunteers, helping with vision and hearing screenings and more. The PTC also sponsors a variety of social activities and fundraisers that bring Foote familes together the throughout the year. Parent participation in PTC-sponsored events is encouraged. FOOTE FAMILY COOKBOOK AVAILABLE ON FIELD DAY

Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Foote Family Cookbook will be sold for $20 on Field Day at the PTC table.

The book, with an introduction by Jacques Pépin, is filled with recipes submitted by Foote students, teachers, staff, parents and grandparents. Several recipes have been cooked in Foote classrooms with the children, so the cookbook should bring back wonderful memories. Illustrations include food drawings by Foote students.

Pépin, cookbook author and celebrity chef, submitted three recipes and wrote a lovely introduction about the pleasures of sharing meals and the comforts of kitchens.The Foote Family Cookbook makes a terrific keepsake as well as a thoughtful gift for Mother’s Day, bridal showers, birthdays, anniversaries, or any special occasion.

Bingo Night is Back – May 16

Bingo Night is back by popular demand! Save the date: Friday, May 16.

Starting Monday, May 12, you can buy tickets at drop -off and pick-up on Loomis Place all week. Entrance tickets are $2 each and raffle tickets are $5.

In the past the profits from this fundraiser have been used for grants to different grades, supplies, special field tripsand much more. With your continued support, we will be able to provide our children with the “basics and extras” that will enrich their educational experience at our school.
