Parent Teacher Council 2009-2010
The Parent Teacher Council is a link between the school and its families – a support group for all facets of the school community. Through its many committees, members serve as room parents, host families, library volunteers, helpers at vision and hearing screenings and more.The PTC also sponsors a variety of social activities and fundraisers that bring Foote familes together the throughout the year and provide funding for a number of school activities.
MOSAIC: AN INTERNATIONAL CELEBRATION
Sat., April 24, 2010 on the Foote campus
The result: More than 240 people enjoyed:.
• Bidding in the lively night market: silent and live auction
• Hearing sounds from around the world:
live entertainment including a Steel Drum Band
and Mageepa's Global Rhythms
• Tasting global flavors: fabulous food & beverages
And the event raised more than $50,000 for Foote, including more than $6,000 for faculty professional development.

THE FOOTE PTC NEEDS YOU –
Please consider getting involved.
In 2009 - 2010, the PTC:
- funded the summer read aloud program that provides a book to EACH child in grades K-4
- sponsored and funded the Fall Family Fun Day and the Book Fair Ice Cream Social
- hosted the Fall Dinner
- organized Photo Day, Fall Book Fair, Book Swap, Bowling Night and Movie Outings
- purchased vision screening equipment and organized vision screening
- organized the Lost and Found for display at assemblies
- funded field trips such as Deer Lake and upcoming trips such as Camp Ingersoll and Bronx Zoo
- provided monies for faculty development, technology enhancement, and emergency scholarships
… and we couldn’t do it without YOU!
In fact, every child directly benefits in some way from the investment of time, energy, enthusiasm and resources of the many parents, grandparents, and guardians who are part of the Foote School PTC.

The PTC now has Big Y gift cards to sell, along with Stop and Shop gift cards.
This is a way to raise money for the Foote School PTC, without spending any extra money yourself! Just purchase the cards through us, and use in the store instead of cash (or online at Peapod). We earn $5 for each $100 card you buy – no extra cost to you!
As always, cards are available in the Development Office, usually open from 8:30-5:00.
