MONTHLY PARENT COFFEES PLANNED
The Parent Coffees held during the first week of school were a big success, and many new parents requested that we continue with one per month.
The next Parent Coffee is Monday, October 26 in the Perrine Library from 8 - 9 a.m. Please join us.
HALLOWEEN PARADE & FAIR
Friday, October 30
The Parade
All grades will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. to have lunch and change into costumes. Students should return to their classrooms at 1:45 and line up for the Halloween Parade, which begins at 2:00 p.m. from the classrooms and proceeds onto the upper field.
Families and friends are invited to line the parade route.
The Fair (see note on advance ticket sales*)
Following the parade, children will be dismissed to their parents from their classrooms. Parents of kindergartners, MAG, and 3rd Grade children are asked to accompany their youngsters to the fair, which is sponsored by the 8th Grade. Older students may attend with friends.
The fair ends at 4 p.m. Eighth and ninth graders are expected to stay for cleanup and, therefore, should be picked up at 5:15 p.m.
Costumes: simple and comfortable so children can walk and climb stairs safely. It is not necessary to purchase a costume. Children enjoy creating costumes from materials and props found at home.
The “Haunted House” (and a "Junior Haunted House") is part of the Fair run by the 8th grade as a fundraiser. Some young children find it exhilarating while others find it frightening. Not every child chooses to go, and there are many other booths that are appropriate and fun for young children.
* Advance ticket sales for fair attractions
Beginning Monday, October 26, 8th Graders will be selling tickets from 8 - 8:20 a.m. on Loomis Place, in the Canner Circle, and in the main courtyard. Tickets are 25 cents each, with batches of 20 for $5.

Volunteering is fun, and it's a great way to get to know other parents, browse the books, and get your holiday shopping done early.
Use Stop and Shop or Big Y Cards to Benefit Foote!
This is a way to raise money for the Foote School PTC without spending any extra money yourself! Just purchase the cards through the PTC, and use in the store (or online at Peapod) instead of cash. The PTC earns $5 for each $100 card you buy – no extra cost to you, and no expiration date!
As always, cards are available in the Development Office between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
