MORNING SAFETY MONITORS
This past week, Foote started a new procedure to facilitate safe drop off in the mornings. Eight Middle School student volunteers are helping walk K-3 children to class. They arrive at 7:45, leave their backpacks in Jay Cox's office, don really cool flourescent chartreuse vests. They are stationed both on Loomis Place, between the Library and the K steps, and at the Lower School Bus Circle, to assist parents. This eliminates the need for some parents to park and walk their children to class.
Both the younger and older students seem to be very excited about this.
GRANDPARENTS/SPECIAL FRIENDS DAY
VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED!
Friday, October 16, is right around the corner, and the Development Office is still looking for volunteers to welcome grandparents and special friends. If you are able to spare a couple of hours between 8:30a.m. and 12:30p.m. or can come for the whole morning, your help would be very much appreciated.
Please contact Maria Granquist, 777-3464 x 209.
