FOOTE PURCHASES ST. FRANCIS PROPERTY

Dear Parents ,

This is an exciting day for Foote School! At 11:00 this morning, we closed on the purchase of the St. Francis property. This 3.8 acre parcel provides Foote School with the opportunity to build a regulation size playing field across Highland Street. It also allows for far greater flexibility in addressing facilities improvement (and parking and traffic issues!) on the existing Loomis Place campus.

We hope to move forward on abatement and demolition of the buildings on the newly acquired property early next week, and have hired Cherry Hill Construction and Demolition Company, based in North Branford, for the project.  If all goes according to plan, we should have a planted field before the first snow!!
