Wednesday, Sept. 3 – First day of school REGULAR UPDATES FROM CHINA TRIP POSTED BINGO NIGHT IS BACK Donations of $5 - $10 from each family are needed by this Friday (tomorrow) Bingo Night is back by popular demand! Save the date; Friday, May 16. To comply with Connecticut state law* we need donations by this Friday, March 7 so we can buy raffle items for Bingo Night. The PTC appreciates whatever amount you can give. Plese bring donations to either your child's homeroom teacher or to the PTC table in the gym lobby immediately before or after Spring Assembly, Friday at 11;15 a.m. * To obtain a state raffle permit, the law requires that we give the state a complete list of the items to be raffled. We won't know what we can purchase until we have your contributions. We also hope to purchase (or would be hapy to accept outright donations of) any of the following: Thank you for your support. If you have questions, please contact Christine Chiocchio. – The PTC “STARRY” CABARET, SILENT AUCTION Auction Items Coming In, More Needed for April 25 Event Please help make the Starry Starry Night event a success by donating or soliciting from businesses silent auction items. The adult evening on April 25 will feature cabaret performer Anne Tofflemire, who, in addition to being multi–talented and entertaining, is a Foote parent. There will be hearty hors d’oeuvres, wine and beverages, decadent desserts, along with the silent auction. Invitations for the event will be mailed shortly after spring break. All proceeds will go to the school for educational materials and activities that enrich our children’s education. MULTICULTURAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE KINDERGARTEN POTLUCK The Multicultural Affairs Committee is planning a potluck for kindergarten families. If you have a child in kindergarten, please save the date: Sunday, April 13, 4-6 pm in the theater. A flyer will be going home with your child – more information and sign-ups after spring break. The stated mission of the Multicultural Affairs Committee is to promote a faculty and student community diverse in economic, cultural, ethnic and racial backgrounds; to help provide the best possible educational environment; and to support a multicultural curriculum designed to gain an appreciation of human differences and eliminate prejudice. This committee is made up of faculty and parents. The meetings are open to all who are interested. You may contact Donna Batsford for information.
