                  Making the Difference

The Annual Fund impacts each and every Foote student in tangible ways – you need only to visit a classroom or laboratory, an athletic practice, or a student arts event to see your gifts at work.  Equally important, the Fund supports the dedicated teachers who make Foote so unique.

The Annual Fund also supports the school’s financial aid program, enriching our community by extending the opportunity for a Foote education to children for whom it would not otherwise be possible.

It is hard to overstate the importance of your participation in the Annual Fund. Foote families come from a wide range of economic backgrounds, and some families are able to contribute more than others.

Every donation, no matter its size, contributes to the whole. Participation at any level demonstrates the strong commitment alumnae, alumni, parents, grandparents and friends have to Foote and its mission.

Consider this: every $25 given to Foote gives the school the equivalent purchasing power of $500 of endowment.

Collectively, individual gifts from parents, grandparents alumni and friends make a crucial difference in the day-to-day life on campus.

Thanks to you, the Foote School Annual Fund has been growing –

• In 2008-9, a difficult year for the economy worldwide, the Fund closed at $481,000 — its second highest total ever.

• In 2009-10 the Annual Fund broke all previous records and reached $528,000! Parent participation was 71.%

•In 2010-11 the Annual Fundbenefitted from a $55,000 challenge which boosted contributions. By June 30, the Annual Fund had set new records for dollars raised — $531,000 — and parent participation —75%!

•The 2011-12 Annual Fund will kick-off in mid-October.
