Imagine Our Future: The Campaign for Foote School
“Education is not the filling of a pail but the lighting of a fire.” William Butler Yeats
Imagining Foote’s future and how the campus can best serve faculty and students became possible last year. The school purchased 3.8 acres of contiguous property, very likely the last
opportunity to add land to the campus. That property is now a regulation-size playing field, and the school is moving ahead with plans for a new building focused particularly on science and technology, with homeroom areas for Grades 8 and 9.
This gives us the further opportunity to create spaces that will enhance the Middle School experience as well as to renovate and adapt vacated spaces to meet other campus needs. Click the map to enlarge.
Please join us in this historic venture to raise $12 million to support the excellence in teaching and learning that is the hallmark of a Foote education.
Our Campaign Goals
Achieved:
• Purchase 3.8 acres of contiguous property
• Create a new regulation-sized playing field
To Achieve:
• Construct a 12,000 square foot science and technology building for the Middle School
that incorporates green design and aspects of sustainability so the building itself
is a teaching tool.
