The Middle School Lab serves the technology needs of grades six through nine. Home to the 6th Grade computer classes, the lab also integrates with 7th through 9th grade curricula as teachers require it. We play host to the school newspaper, The SPI, informal computer-related activities, and are always available for school-related use by Middle School students during their recess and study hall periods as well.

The lab is made up of 20 networked iMac G5 computers, two networked printers (one for faculty use, one for student use), and a high resolution scanner. One of the iMacs is wired for leader operated over-head projection and audio. This number allows a guest speaker or teacher to lead while an entire class and its teacher follow along on their own computers.

6th Grade Computer Class:

The 6th grade is the last grade to have computer class as part of their curriculum, so while the 6th grade learns new, fun, and interesting programs in class, they also must prepare for the academic demands of the years ahead. The students build essential skills needed for life in the Middle School, and to reinforce this the computer curriculum reinforces the 6th grade Humanities and Science curricula.
